One month from today is my husband’s 30th birthday, and one month and six days from today, I turn 25! Regular readers know that my birthday is the deadline for making the 25 goals I want to achieve before I turn 25.
My husband and I are under some personal austerity measures due to student loans kicking in these days (woo hoo! fun times!), but we decided when we budgeted this year to set aside money and time for his 30th. I’m really, really excited, him a little less so. Ed likes bourbon like a good Southern boy, so we decided to do a whiskey themed party. The old Irish proverb “what whiskey will not cure, there is no cure for” is the theme.
The party will be held at a local pie shop in their beautiful yard. All of the pies that will be served will involve whiskey in some way, and we’re going to have a whiskey bar and soul food. I can’t wait! For now, I want to share the save-the-dates we’ve sent to our friends for the party. (The exact date is censored because, you know, it’s a private shindig.)

PS: I’m going to share all of the craft projects related to Ed’s party under DIY Weddings because if I could get married again this year (I really do love weddings!), I think I’d be down with a whiskey/seersucker/barbershop quartet hat theme.Â
