As of today, just 42 days stand between me and my June 10 birthday. The urgency knob on accomplishing these goals has begun to max out. Lucky for me, I have been reading through these goals really regularly and writing about them and hearing supportive comments from readers has been immensely helpful. Thank you, guys!! Check out how I’m doing now that it’s May:
1) make Hands Occupied (HO) more personal
2) work with more innovative craft materials
3) find a Chicago-based doctor
4) loose weight & eat healthier in general
Just 5 pounds to go!!
stop showering daily (itâ€™s supposed to be good for your hair & itâ€™s good for the environment)
install mobile & iPad themes on HO; improve its menu structure
7) grow a successful vegetable garden
My plants continue to grow as I learn to fight weeds.
8 ) make more large-scale projects
9) learn to take better photographs for Hands Occupied
10)learn to take even better photographs for HO/take a photography class
I am enrolling in a course for the summer!
11) try to exercise 3 times a week
12) get a logo for Hands Occupied
13) finish library school
14) start learning Spanish
Much like the photography class, I plan on taking a course this year. Most likely it will work out to do in the fall.
15) learn woodworking basics
16) start sewing clothes, not just costumes
I still have the dress pattern and fabric that I shared in the last 25 before 25 update, but I (of course) haven’t had time to sit down and do the project yet. The clock is ticking, so I’ve got to get cracking!
17) read more for relaxation 18) improve posture
19) find a yoga class and regularly attend
As Emily suggested in a comment on my most recent goals update, I could kill two birds with one stone by attending yoga to strengthen my abdominal muscles, back muscles, legs and hips. I’ve attended a handful of yoga classes so far, and have decided to regularly take yoga with a crafter friend of mine who also happens to teach yoga IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. Between Emily’s suggestion, knowing a teacher, and the convenient yoga studio location, I have got no excuse whatsoever to flake on yoga and working on my posture from now on. It’s nice when meeting a goal (or two) is so easy. :)
