With the big move just a day away (quick rundown: moving with new husband from Lansing, MI to Chicago for work), it was awesome to get a break on Saturday by heading out to the Flint Handmade Spring Craft Market (FHSCM). I got to see and chat with some amazing Michigan crafters. There were some indoor and outdoor booths, and at the first venue attendees visited, they got a fair passport. If you hit up all of the venues, you were eligible for a prize worth $25 at the next Flint Handmade event.
I got to meet Anne from The Handmade Gift Guide and Handmade is Heartmade. From an internet craft nerd’s perspective, her network is super impressive! I now have a new bloggy role model, and the best part is how nice she is in person. Other sellers at FHSCM all had great things to say about her as well. A rundown of some of the FHSCM sellers:
I wore a super cute raincloud necklace Saturday, and almost everybody took  the time to tell me how much they loved it. One of the highlights of the day, though, was the woman at Burnt Desserts introducing my necklace to its familiar – the raincloud pin! When I wasn’t looking, my husband bought me a cute Heidi notebook! The seller was so happy that a Heidi went home with her upcycled notebook. I’m going to use it for keeping track of business cards and blog ideas. :D If you want your own recycled journal like the ones below, check out Heaven Sent Crafts on Etsy.
All in all, it was a super fun day, and I left filled with tons of new ideas for Hands Occupied. Stay tuned. ;)
