Last Saturday, I headed out to the western suburbs of Chicago to the Wild Olive stitch together meetup. Mollie, who runs Wild Olive is super adorable and very kind. If you haven’t subscribed to Wild Olive, you should. Her graphic design and crafting work is just like her – full of cuteness!
At the meetup, I had such a blast hanging out with the ladies in attendance, learning a couple embroidery tricks (I kind of suck at embroidery), and learning how to make a rice-filled pin cushion using a technique called English paper piecing.
Mollie has shared some pics of the event, including one in which I’m totally derpy:
A big surprise was running into Alyssa from Little Baby Mama Bear. She lives in my neighborhood and has an adorable tiny baby who was totally distracting to craft around (but in a good way) :).
Here’s my Instagram take on the pin cushion. Yay friends!
