Picks of the Week

Picks of the Week for January 9, 2015 at handsoccupied.com

images via sources below

With two days of school canceled due to frigid temps, the first full week of 2015 was a chilly one in Chicago. I could mention for the millionth time that I’m literally a native of Fargo, ND (really, birth certificate and everything), but… oh wait I just did. ;) There’s nothing like uber-cold weather to get me in the mood for hibernating with a few good skeins of yarn I’m dying to experiment with. And then when a new, warm project is all finished, test driving it in the frigid cold can be useful. Polar weather isn’t for everyone, but I’m into it, at least for a month or two.

the best yarn crafts of the week

simple v-stitch crochet cowl -mon petit four
crochet flowering cactus -stitch-em
crochet baby bubble boots -whistle & ivy

how to change colors in crochet -dream a little bigger
colorful crochet blocks blanket -meet me at mike’s
hand-knotted wall hanging -the gathered home
mega chunky crochet cowl -persia lou
crochet banana scarf -pops de milk
