Picks of the Week for January 16, 2015 at handsoccupied.com

images via sources below

Hey! It was a totally temperate week for a change in Chicagoland! Solid 20s-30s all around, with a decent amount of sun. I’m no meteorologist, but that’s some prime winter weather right there! I’ve been rocking the Long John Cowl pretty much 24/7 this week, and even though I know the cold isn’t for everyone, I get (perhaps embarrassingly) giddy at weather that gives me the chance to wear my handmade yarn creations. If you’re looking for some ideas to keep your hands occupied during maybe-too-cold weather, I’ve got some picks from the blogging world this week for your crafty consideration.

yarn craft faves

chunky ribbed knit hat -gina michele
crochet seashells infinity scarf -yarn twist
big pom pom garland -living better together
knit dog sweater -the sweatshop of love
circle-woven rug -a beautiful mess
plushie pom poms -fall for diy
knit classic cowl -the purl bee
crochet magic ring tutorial -pops de milk

in case you missed it…

  • Long John Cowl – new free pattern for a deep winter neck warmer.
  • Check out my plans & goals for 2015!
