I’m having such a good time gathering vintage ornaments and designing new ones for this 12 ornaments of Christmas series. Today’s ornaments are some of my all-time family favorites.
These snowflakes were scroll-sawed by my grandpa and my mom added the white paint and glitter. Every Christmas, my mom hangs over a half dozen of these in the front window. Since that window is in Fargo, ND, these snowflakes look beautiful against the always-snowy backdrop of my parents’ yard at Christmas time. Here are just a few of my grandpa’s creations, but I’m pretty sure other members of my family have even more designs.
If anyone reading this has stories or ornaments they’d like to share, email me (handsoccupied-at-gmail-dot-com), comment below or on Facebook, or Tweet at me @handsoccupied. I’d LOVE to hear about your ornaments and their stories.
