Work With Me

Heidi Gustad, the Blogger & Librarian behind Hands Occupied, modeling The Hat Hat. My name is Heidi Gustad, and I’m the crafter behind Hands Occupied. I have lots of experience writing for young adults – most of my readers are 18-34, closely followed by the 55-64 bracket. My appeal has been described as a unique combination of edgy and homey, which makes me laugh, but as a librarian and knitting designer in her mid-20s, I suppose it makes sense!

I have experience designing knitting and crochet patterns for web and print, and writing and photographing tutorials, sponsored posts, product reviews, interviews, store tours, and more. You can see my print and digital features on the Hands Occupied Press page. I’ve worked with a range of brands, including Michaels, ShiBui Knits, Etsy, iLovetoCreate, Lion Brand Yarn, Cricut, Kia, Hershey’s, and Elmer’s. I also currently contribute to Houzz. If you’re curious to see how I do on video, you can check out the Hands Occupied YouTube channel.

Feel free to drop me a line at handsoccupied [at] gmail [dot] com to start a conversation about working together, I’m always open to considering new projects and partnerships!
