Last year I shared 12 ornaments for Christmas, which were a mix of mostly vintage ornaments from my family’s collection and a few recently handmade items. Today for Christmas Eve, I wanted to share a few more vintage ornaments and one crazy handmade decor piece. They’re notable picks from my mom’s stash shot when I was home for the holidays last year.
I am not a beadwork DIYer at all, so ornaments 1 through 3 above are three I photographed but wasn’t capable of sharing a coherent tutorial for this year. They’re so beautiful (the work of my crafty genius Great Grandmother Louise), I just had to share some shots of them in case any of you are talented bead workers looking for inspiration.
Ornament 4 (above) is exceptionally gorgeous and subtle in person – you wouldn’t believe the quality of vintage crafting felt! It’s mostly constructed with glue and hand sewing. And finally, I shared a tutorial for ornament 5 here, and number 6 is actually just a crazy Santa decoration made with a recycled bleach bottle. A tutorial for the Santa tutorial is available here.
