The beautiful Diamond Brocade Stitch is one such pattern, featuring a clear right and wrong side. ANEMONE STITCH PATTERN
I originally discovered this stitch in Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns.
Knitting skill level: Easy
CO a mult of 8 sts + 1.
row 1. (RS) k4, *p1, k7; rep from *; end p1, k4.
row 2. (WS) p3, *k1, p1, k1, p5; rep from *; end k1, p1, k1, p3.
row 3. k2, *p1, k3; rep from *; end p1, k2.
row 4. p1, *k1, p5, k1, p1; rep from * to end.
row 5. *p1, k7; rep from * to last st, p1.
row 6. rep row 4.
row 7. rep row 3.
row 8. rep row 2.
Rep rows 1-8.

I’m a beginner knitter (VERY beginner) but this pattern looks pretty simple, actually! I tend to stick with crochet because it’s so much easier, but this pattern is a good motivator because it looks fancy without a lot of fuss!
My biggest problem with knitting is dropping stitches and then not knowing how to fix them. And, I also don’t know how to properly frog my knitting so I can fix a mistake in a pattern. Will you eventually make a video about either of these?
Sure thing! I might need a few weeks, but I’m here for this. I guarantee you’re not the only one who would be interested in a fixing dropped sts tutorial. 👍🏻
