One of my favorite yarn brands, Spud & Chloe, has released a new yarn called Stripey Fine and they were kind enough to send some for me to review and share with you guys! It’s a superwash 80% wool/20% silk blend just like Spud & Chloe’s Fine yarn, which makes this a great yarn for shawls, baby knits and socks. The colors found in each of the 7 variegated Stripey Fine colorways are also colors you can find in their Fine yarn, so mixing stripes and solids in your knitting is really easy with these yarns.

Having knit the Stripey Wristlets Spud & Chloe pattern in Stripey Fine for this post, I can tell you this yarn is really light and colorful and lovely to work with. The texture is really nice and springy without being too elastic. Stripey Fine’s sweet, dessert-inspired color combos made me really excited to knit baby coveralls or some spring-tastic socks. PS: Even though each hank is only 50g, I had enough yarn to knit the Wristlets and have as much yarn as you see in the ball in the picture above leftover. I might have to combine the leftovers with one of the solids that coordinate with it for my next project!

I’m a big fan of Spud & Chloe yarns, and I love this new addition to their lineup. It would be so great to work the Stripey in with a solid Fine for a simple triangle shawl.
