Review & Giveaway: Crane Humidifiers - Hands Occupied

You know that thing when you’re starting to feel just a little sick? That’s been my and my husband’s week so far. Growing up, that nearly-sick sensation always meant it was time to bust out the old, and I mean old, humidifier. It was that special 80s shade of beige with a transparent brown water tank. Very boxy too. When Crane offered to send me one of their adorable animal humidifiers to try out, I was so amazed by the range of across-the-board fun designs. Since this is something my husband and I will have in our house for years to come, I let him help me decide. His tastes are a little more subtle than mine, so he was drawn to the penguin and elephant designs. We went with the aptly named Puffington the penguin design and put it to the test this week with our impending fall colds.

Importantly, it couldn’t be easier to use. The last thing you want when you’re feeling sick is to mess around with a ton of dials. You simply fill the humidifier’s one gallon tank and turn the knob to the output level you’d like. It’s plug and go with just the one knob to deal with. Puffington’s head can be moved to point whichever way you like too. It runs super quietly, it turns off automatically when empty, and it puts out up to 2.1 gallons of moisture per day. Bonus: It’s not a huge consumer of electricity. I love it.

A note on Very Serious Crafts: In the post I discuss stepping away from the @seriouscrafts podcast to give myself more time to devote to some minor medical issues.
