There’s a fun afghan pattern in the latest issue of I Like Knitting. My newest design, the Arizona Afghan, is a single panel afghan inspired by iconic woven blankets of the American Southwest. The bold, graphic design of this throw is accomplished through a combination of linen stitch, stranded colorwork, slipped stitches and a dash of intarsia. The pattern features written instructions and two charts, as well as a video class hosted by yours truly for the magazine! Despite this being an afghan, this pattern is worked on size US 13 needles, so it comes together quick for a large project. :)
