Chicago Yarn Crawl!

August 7, 2014 Leave a Comment

Chicago Yarn Crawl! at handsoccupied.com

It’s the Chicago Yarn Crawl this week, dudes! This year, I only had a chance to Crawl for one day, hitting up 5 of the many stores participating. But I made sure to snap a few pics of their yarn and supplies to make you all jealous of the amazing yarn stores we’ve got here in Chicagoland. ;) The Yarn Crawl is divided into regions, and I focused on Region 1, the yarn shops within Chicago’s city limits.

At each stop, I made sure to get my Crawl passport stamped, and I entered each store’s raffle and snagged a copy of their free Yarn Crawl pattern. For every five stores you stop at, you get entered to win a bigger raffle too. Lots of incentives to participate, no? It runs through this Sunday, August 10, so there’s still time to get your yarn crawl on!

If you’re in Chicago, you should know they’re having a yarn bombing event this Sunday from 2-5 pm to celebrate the end of the crawl!

A note on Very Serious Crafts: In the post I discuss stepping away from the @seriouscrafts podcast to give myself more time to devote to some minor medical issues. Don’t you worry - my health will be fine, & @molliejohanson @redhandledscissors and I are still pals, and after a short break of their own, the podcast will be back! Just sans moi. 💁🏼‍♀️😆
