Heidi from Hands Occupied walks you through how to knit the beautiful Diamond Brocade Stitch. This stitch has a clear right side and is worked over 8 rows.

Sometimes stitch patterns created with simple knits and purls carefully placed are exactly what your knitting needs to shine. The beautiful Diamond Brocade Stitch is one such pattern, featuring a clear right and wrong side. As usual with my knitting stitch videos, I think this timeless stitch would be right at home on a vintage inspired sweater or a lovely set of knit accessories. In this post, I’ll walk you through how to knit this stitch in an easy-to-follow video tutorial with written stitch instructions. 😊

Diamond Brocade Stitch – Video Tutorial

Below is the video itself – you can also check this out on YouTube and subscribe for even more tutorials every 1-2 weeks. This is my first video of the new year, and I’m so glad I took that break I keep talking about here on the blog. I used my break to get a little bit ahead on videos, so I’m excited to finally hit a momentum point with video.

As always, if you’ve got any questions or suggestions for future videos, holler in the comments!

I’m a beginner knitter (VERY beginner) but this pattern looks pretty simple, actually! I tend to stick with crochet because it’s so much easier, but this pattern is a good motivator because it looks fancy without a lot of fuss!

My biggest problem with knitting is dropping stitches and then not knowing how to fix them. And, I also don’t know how to properly frog my knitting so I can fix a mistake in a pattern. Will you eventually make a video about either of these?

Sure thing! I might need a few weeks, but I’m here for this. I guarantee you’re not the only one who would be interested in a fixing dropped sts tutorial. 👍🏻

(What can I say, I lost a game of yarn chicken. 😂) I almost didn’t post this because I was worried someone might have some nonsense to say about my ability to knit. Then I remembered I can’t care about that. Silly me, I almost forgot myself!

Speaking of which, dang it’s good to have my mental health back consistently after the past couple of years. The anxious parts of my personality are just chilling, rather than constantly screaming that my work isn’t good enough to share. The confident parts of me that matter have me creating (and starting to share my creations & process with strangers and friends) again!
