It’s my birthday! That seems like a great occasion to share what’s inspiring me this month, making me smile, things I find exciting. I’ve got everything from baby programming to weddings to Orange is the New Black this go around. For real, check all of these out. It’s my birthday, and they make me happy. :)

Crafty Rafty | Creative Inspiration via handsoccupied.com

It’s not just birthday nostalgia – I just discovered the series Crafty Rafty by Baby TV. It’s a bunch of videos of crafts being made stop motion style. It’s a show for babies, but it’s about crafting with recycled materials. It’s adorable, and if you have Hulu, you should watch at least a clip of it.

Macklemore's Needlepoint | Creative Inspiration via handsoccupied.com

Apparently Macklemore made this himself? I’m not sure about that, but this is pretty epic.

Things like knitting, yoga and playing an instrument are good for you. This cute video helps explain why.

I’m obsessed with this ’20s inspired botanical wedding, and especially the swirled, fresh floral backdrop and cake!

Heya Heidi, I’m Danny, one of the “geniuses” who lives in the apartment with the platform bed. Glad you dig it! Thanks for sharing — we’re working hard to drum up votes in the Apartment Therapy contest, and we appreciate your help.

A note on Very Serious Crafts: In the post I discuss stepping away from the @seriouscrafts podcast to give myself more time to devote to some minor medical issues.
