Picks of the Week for October 14, 2016 | Hands Occupied

images via sources below

The Read Along Knit Along is off to a fun start this week, and I couldn’t be more jazzed about how much fun everyone is having doing RALKAL! There’s nothing like trying something new and having the response be so positive, so I thank everyone who’s participating so much for being awesome. :) I can’t wait to spend the weekend knitting and listening to The Smell of Other People’s Houses on audiobook.

PS: It’s not too late to get in on the RALKAL action, even if you’re a beginning knitter. Yesterday’s new video tutorial on how to knit a garter tab will get you started off on the right foot, even if you’re a first time shawl knitter.

don’t stop til you knit enough

crochet cluster baby blanket -leelee knits
woven infinity necklace -a beautiful mess
crochet cowl pattern -green bird
diy woven coasters -a pretty fix
crochet bow headband -all about ami
pom pom scarf -gina michele

in case you missed it…

  • The Read Along Knit Along is here! Get the Other People’s Houses shawl pattern or get in on the action on Ravelry.
  • Want to knit your first shawl but were frozen at the phrase “garter tab”? Never fear – I’ve got a video tutorial to teach you this easy (and useful) technique.

Love this shawl! I am addicted to shawls, and this seems do-able while in a group, so count me in!
