Picks of the Week

Picks of the Week for February 8, 2019 | Hands Occupied
images via sources below

If you’re located in a region like mine, your week might have looked rather grey, from the skies to the dirt-stained, melty snowbanks. For me, this week has been a great example of how cruddy weather can put one in the mood for making things, so if you’re feeling up to crafting the winter blues (greys?) away, check out this fun new crop of inspiration!

P.S. Our building’s roof sprung a bit of a leak two nights ago, so for the folks counting at home after reading this week’s studio opening post, thats four (4!) water incidents in my building in a week. Joy of joys! ;)

macrame, valentines, knit & crochet!

simple knit slouch hat -sewrella
tassel wall hanging -honestly wtf
chunky crochet triangle scarf -make & do crew
knitted soap bag -johanna rundel (in German – use Google translate)
diy yarn ball keychain valentines -kailo chic life
macrame coasters -curly made

in case you missed it…

On my podcast, Very Serious Crafts: Feast your ears on season 2 episode 2: Ambitious Plans and Crafty Things Both Old and New!

Recently on the blog: The Hands Occupied Studio is officially open! See how the wee space is set up and read the story about the CRAZY week leading up to the grand opening.

And the winner is: We’ve got a giveaway winner to announce! Congratulations, Kathy D., you won a skein of Briggs & Little Country Roving yarn. I’ll be in touch via email with how to claim your prize. :)
