Picks of the Week for June 12, 2015 from Hands Occupied

images via sources below

I can’t believe tomorrow is Worldwide Knit in Public Day! I’m so looking forward to meeting some of you at the meetup tomorrow in Chicago. There’s only a 10% chance of rain, so the day should go off without a hitch (crossing my fingers)! Even if you can’t make my knit in public meetup, or another one closer to you, you can still try one of my favorite yarn ideas of the week to fill the void created by missing knit in public day festivities. ;) Don’t forget to share the knitting you’re doing tomorrow, even at home, with #WWKIP and #handsoccupied on Instagram & Twitter. So fun!

top yarn ideas from the interwebs

fixing common knitting mistakes -flax & twine
giant rainbow pom pom necklace -this heart of mine
DIY stitched fringe pillow -fall for diy
amigurumi cupcakes -morestomach
knit chocolate chip cookie -mochimochi land
circular yarn wall hanging -plaster & disaster

in case you missed it…

  • Have you seen the latest episode of YarnTalk? It’s full of TNNA recaps. ;)
  • Check out week 4 of the Spring Meadow Scarf KAL!
  • Are you in Chicago on June 13? Come knit with me!

Giveaway winner!

Congratulations to Amy N., you won the Holla Knits issue giveaway! I’ll be in touch via email with info on how to claim your prize. :D
