As of this writing, I’ve successfully turned the heel of my first knitted sock and am bracing myself for the gusset (yes, that’s what it’s called). For today’s post, I just wanted to share the latest photo of my work-in-progress, and some videos and links I found helpful when working on my first sock.
In an earlier post, I mentioned that one of my current knitting projects is a pair of socks. What I didn’t mention was that they’re not only my first pair of socks, but they happen to also be my fiance’s Christmas present. We’ll see if I can finish them in time…
Faux leaf-filled ornaments for unique fall decor.
Using a hat I got on Etsy (though making your own hat would be as easy as stapling some construction paper together) and a couple other things from around the house, I threw together this Bad Halloween Candy costume.
Trying to figure out how to make my first indoor garden thrive.

An excuse to set up your Christmas tree way too early.
An easy paper leaf garland for fall.
I’ve begun to work with some people interested in adding some personality to our community. Examples of knit-tagging have been all over the internet for years, but I thought I’d share some cool examples of this concept today. Last, but not least, check out the Knitting Graffiti Flickr pool.
