Felt Google Reader Logo

Sigh. It feels like so long ago that I made my Google Reader buddies’ new babies Google Reader logo onesies.

Those of you who subscribe to blogs might already know or have noticed that Google Reader, a super popular RSS feed reader, is going away this summer. Poof! As a Google Reader addict myself, I was sad to hear this news. At the moment, I’m considering new readers like Feed.ly, Feedbin & Bloglovin’ to fill the future Greader-shaped void in my life. If there’s a reader you’re particularly partial to, holler at me in the comments. I’m currently way open to suggestions.

RSS Feed Update

I have a new RSS feed address you guys. Sorry to make you jump through a hoop to keep up with Hands Occupied, but to continue getting Hands Occupied in your reader, grab the RSS feed here.

Email Subscriptions

If you already subscribe to Hands Occupied via email and would like to keep doing so, you don’t need to do anything. I was able to migrate all of you to my new system automatically. Interested in subscribing to blog updates via email? You can subscribe here. You can also unsubscribe at any time, of course.

While we’re at it, social media!

Here are the social networks I post crafty and or Hands Occupied-y stuff to on the regular. These are all at the top of my website too if you want to check them out later.

Much love to everyone who sent supportive messages about taking time off and creative burnout. I often deflect with humor, but it was genuinely touching to connect with folks who understand. I’ll have something new for y’all later this week, so stay tuned! ❤️💛💙

A note on Very Serious Crafts: In the post I discuss stepping away from the @seriouscrafts podcast to give myself more time to devote to some minor medical issues. Don’t you worry - my health will be fine, & @molliejohanson @redhandledscissors and I are still pals, and after a short break of their own, the podcast will be back! Just sans moi. 💁🏼‍♀️😆
