April showers bring… a new crop of gorgeous knitting patterns! In news that will surprise no one, there were a bunch of freaking amazing shawls released this month, on top of a handful of sweaters that are just so simple and elegant. Plus a pair of socks I need to cast on for every outdoorsy person in my life.

After assembling this month’s Things to Knit, it’s very clear that shawls were big among indie designers in June. Shawls, shawl-shaped sweaters, and wraps were published in full force. It’s no surprise – with their adaptability to different kinds of weather and suitability to lightweight yarns, shawls and wraps are kind of the perfect summer knit.
