Bang Bang Pie's Chocolate Chess Pie with Bourbon Caramel Drizzle | Hands Occupied

Bang Bang Pie’s Chocolate Chess Pie with a Bourbon Caramel drooolzle drizzle.

There’s a pie shop in my town that’s pretty friggin’ spectacular. For one thing, their pies, biscuits, butters, pickles and savory menu items are to die for. For another, it’s run by some awesome folks. I threw my husband a bourbon-themed 30th birthday party there right after they opened, and they were more than accommodating. They even, without my asking, made my husband a custom bourbon-infused butter to go with the biscuits served (to help soak up all the whiskey our friends were tasting)!

Bang Bang Pie Butters | Hands Occupied Ok, so excuse-to-share-delicious-pictures-rambling over. :) I’m really blogging today to announce that I’ll be the guest judge for the pumpkin carving contest at their upcoming Harvest Market! There are going to be awesome vendors at this event: vintage clothing vendors, local booksellers, farmers, and more. I’m so pumped. SO pumped. If you’re in Chicago the weekend of October 26th, you should totally come by. Bang Bang is also hosting a harvest supper and apple pie contest (with special guest judges) that weekend. Proceeds benefit a good cause too. Did I mention I’m SO PUMPED?
