What to do with a Swiss Army blanket

January 25, 2013 Leave a Comment

What to do with a Swiss Army blanket | HandsOccupied.com

1. Reupholster a chair / 2. Make a wallet / 3. Make a duffel / 4. Turn it into throw pillows / 5. Reupholster a couch / 6. Make a laptop bag / 7. Reupholster a bench / 8. Turn your feet into a pair of cozy pacifists / 9. Wear the flyest jacket in town / 10. Make an awesome tote

This might be my favorite inspiration roundup ever. Maybe it’s because my favorite color is red, and I’m obsessed with pretty much anything vintage? Probably. Yesterday, I showed you guys how to easily DIY a $300 vintage Swiss Army blanket for around $30, and today, I wanted to share the amazing things people have made with their spendy vintage blankets in case you want to do more than make a vintage-inspired throw. The coat (#9), wallet (#2), and tote bag (#10) from this roundup will haunt me creatively for months to come. I already gave me my husband the blanket I made in yesterday’s tutorial, so I might have to make another just to cut it up and turn it into a purse.
